Broadway Lights was born May 1, 1996 at Performance Breeders in West Virginia. She is Hannoverian, by Bruderherz (Bolero-Eizenherz), out of a german vhW mare (Trapper-Marconi). She was sold as a weanling to a wonderful couple in Gerry, NY which is half way between Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY. They also own her older full brother and the two where joined at the hip, almost like they knew they were brother and sister. They took Broadway to the 1997 Dressage at Devon Breed Show where she placed 4th. Unfortunately, the owners had their good nature taken advantage of and having little use for Dressage horses (they were more into Western), decided to sell both horses.

When I received the video of Broadway on Christmas Eve, I knew she was the horse for me. On the video, she did not only show wonderful movement, she also showed tons of personality. So I quick booked a flight out to see her before anyone else to get to her. I stayed at the farm in the warm hospitality of the Pacitti's(owners) for 3 days and I was sold! I left a deposit before flying back home. It took another month or so before she could be shipped to her new home, February, 1998.

In 1998 and 1999, I returned with Broadway to the Dressage at Devon show to compete and get her use to travel and showing.
